Tiles and grout are heavy and rigid, while a moving bus is constantly flexing and vibrating over bumps and rough roads, so over time the tiles can crack, pop loose, or come completely unstuck, turning into sharp broken pieces or loose hazards. Glossy tile also gets dangerously slippery when wet, which is bad news on something that's already swaying and braking suddenly, and if there's ever a crash or hard stop, the tile can shatter into sharp shards instead of just denting like normal rubber or vinyl bus flooring would. Basically it adds unnecessary weight, breaks easily, and makes the floor slippery and dangerous. which is exactly why most buses aren't normally floored this way.</p></blockquote><p></p>
