Opposing woke culture? While destroying US soft power, picking fights with close allies and making way to Chinese century?

No neither Trump nor his unelected lap dog have the power of the purse. It's in the article 1 of the constitution, hard to miss. Also USAID was created by a law of congress therefore only congress can disband it.

If Trump wanted to appoint Musk the proper way then he should have appoint him to the cabinet which means he'll have to testify in front of senate, divest from his companies and get background checked. Why do you think they explicitly skipped all those steps?
