ශ්රී ලංකා ජාතික ගීය ගායනා කිරීමේදී "නමෝ නමෝ මාතා" යන කොටස ගායනා කිරීමෙන් සියලුම මුස්ලීම් වරුන් වැළකිය යුතුයි 
මුස්ලීම් වරුන්ට අල්ලාට හැර අනෙකුත් කිසිවෙකුට වැඳීම සුදුසු නැත, සියල්ලටම වඩා ශ්රේශ්ට වන්නේ අල්ලාහ් බැවින් වෙන කිසිවෙකුට හෝ වැඳීම අල්ලාට කරන අපහාසයකි. ඔබ දන්නා පරිදි මුස්ලීම් අපි කිසි විටෙකත් ගුරුවරයෙකුටවත් වඳින්නේ නෑ. එය ගුරු වරුන්ට කරන අපහාසයක් නෙමෙයි, එහෙම කරන්නේ අල්ලහ්ට අපහාස වීම වැළක්වීමට.
පහත දක්වෙන සුරා වලට අනුව අල්ලාහ් හැරෙ වෙන අයට වැඳීම හෝ වෙන අයට අල්ලාහ් ට ලැබිය යුතු ගවුරවය ලබා දීම නොකළ යුතු දෙයකි. වෙලාව ගත වන බැවින් මේවා සිංහලට පරිවර්තනය කරමින් සිටීම අනවශ්යයයි සිතෙනවා.
"Say: 'O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah.' If then they turn back, say ye: 'Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).'" S. 3:64
"The Jews call Ùzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords beside Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One God: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him: (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)." S. 9:30-31
"Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence. And they have been commanded no more than this: to worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to give Zakat; and that is the Religion Right and Straight." S. 98:4-5
ශ්රී ලංකා ජාතික ගීතයේ "නමෝ නමෝ මාතා" යන කොටස මගින් ශ්රී ලංකා භූමියට වඳින බවක් පේනවා. ඒක ඉස්ලාම් වලට අනුව හරාම්. එනිසා මුස්ලීම් සහෝදර වරු එය ගායනා නොකළ යුතුයි. ඒ වගේම සමස්තයක් ලෙස මෙම ජාතික ගීතය මගින් ශ්රී ලංකාවට වඳින නිසා එය ගායනා කිරීම ඉස්ලාම් වලට විරුද්ධ යැයි සමහරු පවසනවා. එනම් හරාම් වූ දෙයක් කිරීම අල්ලාට කරන අපහාසයක්. ශ්රී ලංකාව මවා ඇත්තේද අල්ලහ් විසින් නිසා ශ්රී ලංකාවට වැඳීම මෝඩ වැඩක්.
ශ්රී ලාංකිකයින් බොහෝම නම්යසීලී අය නිසා ජාතික ගීතයෙන් ඉස්ලාම් ආගමට වන අපහාසය ගැන සලකමින් ජාතික ගීතය නිවැරදි කිරීමට ලගදීම කටයුතු කරාවි යැයි අපි බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා.
නැතහොත් ඉස්ලාම් නායකයින් විසින් ඉන්දියාවේදී ජාතික ගීතය ගායනා කිරීම ප්රතික්ශේප කළාක් මෙන් මුස්ලීම් අයට ශ්රී ලංකා ජාතික ගීතය ගායනා කිරීම නැවැත්වීමට සිදුවේවි.
