In 1974 he entered the Katubedda Campus of the University of Sri Lanka and graduated in 1980 with an honours degree in engineering. In 1986 he gained his Pilot's license and gained an Executive Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Colombo winning the Professor Linus de Silva challenge Gold Medal

Dinesh Gunawardhena
He received his schooling at Royal College, Colombo. He went for higher studies to the Netherlands, where he received a Diploma in International Business from the Netherlands School of Business and to the USA, obtaining a BBA degree from the University of Oregon.

Thilanga Sumathipala
Thilanga started his schooling at Nalanda College, Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1970 and left college in 1983 to join the London College of Printing (UK) for his higher education where he holds a Diploma in Photolithograph, Graphic Reproduction in 1984/1985 and a Certificate in Printing Techniques in 1983/1984. After completing his higher education in UK, he has been to the Yokohama University (The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) of Japan) to Improve his Management Skills in 1996.
With the scope of improving his administration skills he attended Harvard University (USA), in 2005 to Harvard Business School for the Senior Executive programme of “Building New Ventures” and in 2006 to John F Kennedy School of Government for “Driving Government Performance”. Thilanga pursued further in following “Post Graduate Diploma in Public Management in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in the University of Colombo.

ඇයට 2010 මැතිවරණයේ එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂ මනාප ලැයිස්තුවේ දෙවැනි ස්ථානය ලැබුණි.
