The two main shareholders of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC as at year end were the Government of Sri Lanka which held 49.50% through the Secretary to the Treasury and Global Telecommunication Holdings N.V. of Curacao, Netherland, which owned a 45.0% stake. The balance 5.5% of the shares are publicly traded on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
