    පිං කැමැත්තෝ set වෙත්වා

    ම‍ම පාවිච්චි කරන්නේ SLT Home package එකක්. Router එක Prolink Hurricane 9200 single port. මගේ Bit torrent speed 43-48 KB/s.

    ඉතින්, ඔයාලා හිතනවද මම Port Forward කලොත් මීට වඩා වේගයක් ගන්න පුළුවන් වෙයි කියලා?? (52 KB/s වත්). එහෙම හිතනවා නම මට පොඩ්ඩක් කියල දෙනවද කොහොමද කරන්නේ කියලා. මොකද portforward.com වල තියෙන විදිය ටිකක් මීටර් වෙනව අඩුයි. ඉතිං මේ පෝය දවසෙ උදවුවක් කරල පිනක් කරගන්නවද.....

    ඒ වගේම ඔයාලා සියළු දෙනාටම සුභ වෙසක් මංගල්‍යයක් වේවා!!!!!

    it doesnt matter what speed you are getting. you need to do port forward to accept incoming connection. bittorrent is about sharing. and is based on sharing concepts. so you need to be in a possition to accept incoming connections!!!

    machan, what you have to do is to associate the port (the port used in the torrent software) with your ip address..

    i havent used the router you have mentioned there.. but there should be something like "virtual servers" etc..

    මචං, අපිට ලැබෙන්නෙ Dynamic IP එකක් නේ. ඉතිං දැනට තියෙන IP එකට port Forward කලොත් restart එකෙන් පස්සෙ අවුලක් වෙනව නේද?? මම එහෙම කරලා net connect වෙන්න බැරි උණා.

    machan, apita enter karanne thiyenne local ip address eka (i dont know what they call it!!! but it sint the external ip address, which is being changed as you log in and out)

    do u know how to find it? if not tell me the OS u are using

    machan, if you have DHCP enabled, you have to set up a static ip address for ur pc. windows wala network settings walin karanna puluwan eka. then you can apply the ip address to the router page

    if you mess it up, you will not be able to connect to the internet. so its wise to gather all the information you would need first. ;)
