‘Ukraine have elected a comedian as president,” the text message began and, as a comic myself, I knew what was coming next. I’m sure comedians all over the world have enjoyed friends and family telling them that they should consider becoming a world leader since comedian Volodymyr Zelenskiy won the Ukrainian presidency last week. Maybe it’s because I’m a comedian who worked in politics (and is still tragically obsessed with it), but the relationship between the two worlds seems increasingly pertinent. It’s not hard to see why, when certain leading political figures cultivate a “comedy” persona to help them get ahead. But can politics learn from comedy? How much has comedy been part of Zelenskiy’s appeal. And do comedians make good politicians?
Much as I love good political TV dramas, when it comes to running a nation I’d always rather have a leader with political experience – and I hope you would too. Most comedians, like most people, have no idea how difficult politics is. Comedians should never fool themselves that, because they poke fun at the mistakes and shortcomings of the powerful (usually after the event), they understand politics to the extent that they’d be good at it.

මේකේ වෙච්ච දේ සම්පූර්ණයෙන් බැලුවම තමයි සිද්දිය තේරෙන්නේ, එතන කලින් ආපු ට්රක් එකකට සෙට් එකක් වෙඩි තියනවා. ඒකේ පස්සෙන් තමයි මේ ටෑන්ක් එක එන්නේ, කාර් එකේ හිටපු මිනිහගේ නම් පෙර පිනක් පල දීලද කොහෙද බේරිලා තිබ්බා.

රුසියාව ගහන්නෙ ආයුද වලින් විතරක්ම නෙවෙයි. මේ යුද්දෙදි සයිබර් ප්රහාරයි මාධ්ය ව්යාපාරයි ජයටම වෙනවා. ඒ නිසා අපි දකින වීඩියෝ ඇත්තම නොවෙන්නත් පුළුවන්.
අනේ මන්දා බන් මට නම් යුක්රේනය එල්ටීටීඊ කාරයෝ ගානට වැටිලා කියලා හිතන්න අමාරුයි. පූටින් මේ ආක්රමනෙ කරන්නෙම බොරු හේතුවක් හදාගෙනනෙ. ඇත්ත හේතුව වෙන එකක්නෙ.

Russia කෙසේ වෙතත් Ukraine නම් media නියමෙට use කරන්වා. Social media වල යන දේවල් බැලුවා ම පේන්නේ Ukraine War එක දිනලා Russia වලට දැන් ගහනවා කියලා. Russia military Air Port එකකට ගහපු එකකුත් දාලා තිබ්බ. One man army pilot ලා super soldiers ලා ඔක්කොම Ukraine උන්. එ එක්ක බැලුවම Russian උන් ගෙ media unit අවුල්.
අර Russian tank එකක් car එකක් යට කරන case එකක් දාලා තිබ්බේ එකත් Ukraine උන්ගේ tank එකක් malfunction වෙලා නිසා උන දෙයක් කියලා කියන්නේ දැන්.
යුක්රේනේ වෙනම රටක්නෙ උන්ට පුළුවන් උන් කැමති සංවිධානෙකට ජොයින් වෙන්න. තමන්ට තර්ජනයක් කියලා ආක්රමණය කරන එක සාධාරණ නෑ. පූටින් මේ ආක්රමනෙට හේතුව විදිහට කියන්නෙ අර ප්රාන්ත දෙකේ මිනිස්සුන්ට යුක්රේනෙන් කරදර වෙන නිසා බේරගන්න එනවා කියලානෙ.
අවුල් නෙමෙයි උන්ව block කරල තියෙන්නේ Western උන්.

තර්ජනයක් නම් තමයි. ඒත් එහෙම පුළුවන්ද බන් ස්වාධීන රාජ්යක තීන්දු තීරණ වෙන රටකට බලපානවා කියලා අර ස්වාදීන රටට කෙලවන්න? උබේ ඔය තර්කෙ බැලුවොත් ඉන්දියාව කොටින්ට උදව් කරලා අපිට කෙලෙව්ව එකත් සාධාරණයිනෙ. මේවා සාධාරණ නෑ ඒත් ජියෝ පොලිටික්ස් එහෙම තමයි.
ගහන එකා බලන්නෙ හානි අවමව ගැහුවා කියලා ලෝකෙට පෙන්නන්න. කන එකා බලන්නෙ මෙන්න ගහනෝ කියලා ජාත්යන්තරේට කියන ගමන් තමන්ගෙ රටේ අයට අපි ගැහුවා කියලා පෙන්නන්න.

මොකා ඉන්දියාව ත්රස්තවාදී කණ්ඩායමකට සපෝර්ට් කරල අපිට කෙලෙව්වේ අපි උන්ට තර්ජනයක් නිසා?
අපි නෙවේ බන්. අපි යහන් වදින්න යන රටවල් උන්ට තර්ජනයක් නිසා. අදටත් චිනෙට රෙද්ද උස්සනවට උන් මලෙන්නෙ ඉන්නෙ.මොකා ඉන්දියාව ත්රස්තවාදී කණ්ඩායමකට සපෝර්ට් කරල අපිට කෙලෙව්වේ අපි උන්ට තර්ජනයක් නිසා?
