මීට දශක දෙකකට විතර කලින් මහවැලි ව්‍යාපෘතිය, පළාත්සභා වගේ රාජ්‍ය ආයතන වල බහුලව භාවිත වුනු මේ වාහනේ නිසා ජීප් කැටගරියට අයිති වාහන වලට කාලයක් පැජරෝ කියලා හඳුන්වපු කාලයක් තිබ්බා.

This series 1 Land Rover looks empty, without the spare wheel on the bonnet. I was a proud owner of one of them up until 1989. It was originally 1 sri 3701, a police vehicle, but later fitted with a 4dr5 12v (round light rosa engine, not the 24v jeep version) engine. Since there was not much weight, it was like a rocket.
