The primary reason they did not update is to just check the prices of commuter vans, not the common cargo vans that were converted to commuter vans.

If this were a school van, I would send my kid in it. the old Delica is famous in the hill counties for its good control and brake power.
Many school hiring business owners are now moving toward buses,

Yes, I remember that buses, those are low-roof Mitsubishi Rosa or Isuzu Journey buses. suitable for school services.

you are absolutely correct my friend. There was a Mitsubishi bus not small like Rosa as well as not big like a normal bus. I could not find a picture though. but I found something very similar.

The Isuzu you were referring to this it seems.

which is a very suitable and rugged vehicle for a country like ours. I still can remember the drivers of these vehicles are saying 'ගහේ උනත් දුවනවා'

100% Agreed Had this Delica T120 as my first first motor thing, 34-997*, Had some major crashes but not a scratch on the passengers. This was the "Wesa Gani" type everyone's vehicle back then since this was the first four wheel of our gang. One three-wheeler got totaled after hitting her from the rear on a wesak tour. Not even a broken taillight for this beast.

The beauty of it was its braking system, which was rock solid if you did even minor maintenance. Unlike most other vehicles, the brakes weren't engine-assisted. I used to turn off the engine while going downhill to save fuel, This is the main reason why kichi kichi Delica "උඩ පැඩල්" version was so popular in hill country, and even if everything else failed, the brakes would still work reliably.

Yes bro.. some of them have been converted to lorry. it also had a good payload capacity also. The engine is also not bad. It's very simple to maintain I guess.

We don't have kids, bro, so what we did was talk about our nostalgic past experiences. If you use either service for transporting kids, please add something regarding that. peace.

I didn't came for this thread for nostalgia. You can open another thread for that. Don't you think?
