Top fuel dragsters are about as insane as vehicles get. When it comes to straight-line acceleration, nothing else even comes close. But they are generally very purpose-built for going fast on blacktop. How well would the concept work on water? Terrifyingly well is the answer, as you will see from the following video of 8,000-horsepower top fuel boats hitting 262 mph. They throw up plumes of water the way top fuel cars lay down patches of rubber. It’s awesome.
