Opium is also taken from a plant and highly addictive, and harmful. But it cannot be classified as a medicinal herb because it is a plant extract. Still, people who use opium as it is, without chemical alteration can live a long life as long as a normal human being of the same conditions. Same goes for Coca, when chemically altered, it is harmful, otherwise, just a herb. Luckily, they do not chemically alter Cannabis, otherwise it would also be labeled as a harmful narcotic. I watched a program about heroin addiction on discovery channel. It said onece you addicted to heroine you are almost addict for life. you can enter rehabilitation centre and get help to control yourself. but it's hard to become normal again. Is that true?
