මෙසේ වූයේ ඇයි? තලිබාන් යනු “නිකම්ම” ත්‍රස්තවාදීන් නිසාද?… නෑ ඔවුන් අකුරටම ඉස්ලාම් ආගම පිළිපදින උදවියයි. එනිසයි ඔවුන්ට “මූලධර්මවාදීන්” යැයි කියන්නේ. ඉතින් එය ලොවම පිළිකුල් කරන ත්‍රස්තවාදයක් බවට පත් වීම අරුමයක් නොවේ. කුරානයෙන් සහ හදීස් වලින් බුදු පිළිම විනාශ කිරීමට දෙන්නේ විශාල අනුබලයකි.

Quran 14:35 And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said, “My Lord, make this city [Makkah] secure and keep me and my sons away from worshiping idols.

ඊට අමතරව පිළිම විනාශ කරන ලෙස නොකියා කියන තව බොහෝ කුරාන් පාථයන් මෙම ලිපියේ දැක්වේ, කියවා බලන්න. මෙහි පිළිම යනු අන් අය ආගමික වශයෙන් වන්දනා කරන හෝ ගරු කරන ඒවායි.
ඉස්ලාම් වල මූලධර්ම 6 ක් තිබෙයි. ඒවා “Six Kaliima” ලෙස හැඳින්වේ. ඒවා ගොඩ නැගී තිබෙන්නේ කුරාණය ආශ්‍රයෙනි, උදාහරණයකින් කියනවානම් බෞද්ධයින්ගේ “පන් සිල්” වගේ. එහි මුල්ම එක වන “ටයිබාහ්” වල තියෙන්නෙ මෙහෙමයි.

ඒ අනුව අල්ලාහ් හැර කිසිවෙකුට නමස්කාර කරන්න මුස්ලීමුන් ඉඩ දෙන්නේ නෑ. වෙනත් අය ඔවුන් ඉදිරියේ අන් ප්‍රතිමා වලට නමස්කාර කරනවානම් සහ ඒවා විනාශ කිරීමට ප්‍රමාණවත් ශක්තියක් මුස්ලීමුන්ට තිබෙනවානම් ඔවුන් එය වහාම විනාශ කරයි.
ආගමික ප්‍රතිමා විනාශ කිරීමේ ඉස්ලාම් ඉගැන්වීම්, ඉස්ලාම් වල දෙවන ප්‍රධානතම ග්‍රන්ථය වන හදීස් වල දක්වා ඇති ආකාරය මෙම ලිපියේ පැහැදිලිවම විස්තර කර තිබේ.
එහිදී මුහම්මද් නිශ්චිතවම පවසා තිබෙන්නේ, අන් අයගේ නමස්කාරයට පාත්‍ර වෙන සියළුම පිළිම විනාශ කරන ලෙසයි. එනිසා මුස්ලීම් නීතිය ඇති සියලුම රටවල් වල කිසිදු අන්‍යාගමික පිළිමයක් ප්‍රසිද්ධියේ තැබිය නොහැකියි, අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම විනාශ කරයි.

එසේම හදීස් වල දැක්වෙන පරිදි වරක් “Amr ibn Abasah” මුහම්මද්ගෙන් ඔහු කවුදැයි ඇසූ විට මුහම්මද් පවසා ඇත්තේ ඔහුව අල්ලාහ් එවා තිබෙන්නේ සර්වබලධාරී දෙවියන්ව විශ්වාස කරවීමට සහ පිළිම විනාශ කිරීමට බවයි.
මුහම්මද් කාබා නගරය සහ මක්කම අත්පත් කරගත් පසු කළ මුල්ම වැඩේ වන්නේ එහි තිබූ සියලුම දේව ප්‍රතිමා විනාශ කිරීමයි. ඒ ගැන කුරානයේ 9 වැනි සුරාවේ දැක්වෙයි. (නිශ්චිතවම කිව නොහැකි වුනත් එදා මුහම්මද් සහ ගෝලබාලයින් මක්කමේදී විනාශ කළ පිළිම අතර බුදු පිළිම සහ බෝධිසත්ව පිළිමත් තිබූ බව කාලයකට පෙර සමහර පොත් පත් වලින් කියවා තිබූ බව මතකයි. මන්ද යත් මක්කම යනු බෞද්ධයින්ගේ පිළිගැනීම අනුව බුදුන්ගේ සිරි පතුල තිබෙන ස්ථානයයි, එහි බුදු පිළිම සහ බෝධිසත්ව පිළිම නොතිබෙන්න හේතුවක් නෑ.)
දැන් ලංකාව දෙස බැලුවොත්, දැනට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ජනගහන වර්ධන අනුපාතය 1% ක් වෙද්දී සිංහලයින්ගේ ජන වර්ධන අනුපාතය සෘණ ගණනක් බව පහසුවෙන් වැටහෙයි. එහෙත් මුස්ලීම් ජනගහන වර්ධන අනුපාතය 4% ක් විතර වී ඝාතික ශ්‍රිතයක් ලෙස එකවරම ඉහලට ගමන් කරයි. මුස්ලීම් ජනගහනය බහුතරය වීම මේ සියවස තුලදී අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම සිදු වේවි.
තවමත් අපේ රටේ මුස්ලීම් ජනගහනය 10% ක් පමණයි සිටින්නේ. ඒත් ඔවුන් සමස්ත රටේ විතරක් නෙමෙයි, කිසියම් ප්‍රදේශයක වුනත් බහුතරය වුන විට එම ප්‍රදේශය තනිකරම ඉස්ලාම් ආගමට අනුවයි පාලනය කරන්නේ. ඔබ වරක් කුරගල ට ගොස් තිබේනම් එහි තිබූ බුදුපිළිම වල ශීර්ෂයන් කුඩු පට්ටම් කර ඇති බව පෙනේවි, කුරගල ගැන ඇති වාර්තාමය වැඩසටහන් වල පවා එය දැක්වෙයි.

අපගේ අනාගත මුනුබුරු මිණිබිරියන් ඉතා අවාසනාවන්තයෝය, ඔවුන් යම් දිනෙක ගල් විහාරයේ සැතපෙන බුදු පිළිමයේ ශීර්ෂය මත ගල් ක‍ටුවෙන් කොටා මෙලෙස ඉස්ලාමික ලංකිස්ථාන් රජයක් විසින් විනාශ කරන හැටි රූපවාහිනියෙන් බලා සිටින්නේ කෙසේද? ඉතින් ඒ මතු පරපුර එම දිනය උදා වූ විට… ඒ අඳුරු මොහොතේදී… එම අවාසනාවන්ත තත්ත්වය උදා වෙන තුරු කටබලියාගෙන සිටි අතීත පරපුර වන අපට සාප කරනු ඇත.

And Sri Lanka became the center of Buddhist religion in the world after that and still remains so.
