I keep reading things browsing stuff about what is going on in the country. I’m not on FB from few years and usually I don’t type long stories in social media. But for the first time thought of writing this...
The main issue behind the crisis of the country is us. Not the politicians. You me and the educated population. It’s us....We understand what is going on, we see what’s happening in the world...We have a fair judgement and a fair direction and aspiration for everything, in office and professional life we are capable to take decisions rationally...we take prompt actions for our official stuff, use our Brain and knowledge for day to day stuff..Which is the right thing....Yes we are good. We are so good and brainy...are we?...no.. what I say is we are assholes..selfish Set of losers who are happy in our own silos...
all what we do is criticize discuss and review but our discussions are not materializing. The idiots (in our words) who go behind a politician and shouting in the May Day parades or political meetings....the idiots (in our words) who run to the Church and the locations where disasters happen to help people help even when police is saying not to to come and it’s dangerous ....the people who still go and wait in the queue to donate blood even when the hospital says the blood bank is full....The people who go out in the night with a knife in hand to check what is going on and to keep neighborhoods safe...those people are way ahead us....Coz they have act for what they belive true...that’s their capacity... they have act on what they belive...they have been true to them selves...they have risk something....but that’s the best they can do...they have been brave enough....think about us.....we are not doing any thing for what we belive true and what we understand as true... We understand things we know things but we all are like stone made statues...are we right...is the country deserve our silence...?
We are comfortable in our daily routine and our network. Office work families friends outings meetings foreign visits we have a life to live... and these topics like national issues, future of the country and politics and how stupid they are etc etc that is another thing for us a part of life for us another a topic to be discussed in closed circles, whatsapp group or friends...our talks our ideas and views are not materializing....have it create any damn impact..
End of the day what we do...we drive our cars home watch news and pass some critiques here and there eat and sleep. We are comfortable.
Am I wrong
I feel guilty. This guilt has been developing in side of me for some time and with this recent incident it has become really painful..
You will ask me what are you asking us to do.. dance jump or what. Honestly at this moment I also don’t know. Becoz non of the main political streams doesn’t deserve us. We may not be able to find a solution from them. There is hardly any one to follow I mean very few...Trust me the capacity of most of the politicians is not more than 20% of us. If we are in power there is so much we can do...and the politically appointed officers (I’m not saying every one , but most of them ) are simply Donkeys..best example is that idiotic Defence secratary..what was his capacity..he hasn’t follow even a basic management principles in handling this case... leave management practices at least common sense...just think about Him and compare us you and me with him...the way we handle day to day things at our work place... isn’t it far better than the way he handled this crisis situation...so now think what I said about our capacity vs theirs.
A New political stream...is it practical?. Question again...however in the present context there is no common forum for us to go and contribute or create a meaningful discussion..that’s also a truth..
I honesty can’t tell, I don’t knw what is the immediate move that we have to take. But one thing I can say the solution for national crisis or future of the country exists within us. It must come from us.. that’s where the vacuum is...martin Luther king has said “silence of the good people is more dangerous than the brutality of the bad people”. I strongly Believe that...we have to be positive and for the moment let’s be guilty about us..at least that will lead us some where...if situation come worse day by day we will go and settle in another country.. we can do so... but at least we can try before that.. we can try until then...otherwise we will die in guilt..our souls will never forgive us...
I’m telling again..the solution for Sri Lanka
exists with us...for the moment let’s keep the positivity and the guilt in our minds..it will lead us somewhere...
