As long as you appoint them, they will utter any damn thing. The people get the govt they deserve, so instead of blaming this foolish statement or the person who made it , take corrective actions to eliminate such people by using the vote. Alas, when it come to the elections people forget all these and vote for the same, and they know it and that is why they utter such foolish things and do anything. That is why they become spokesmen for wrongdoers. How many would remember a politician kneeled down a teacher during school time , but he will contest the PC elections and people will elect , and how many will remember the murder of mother and young daughter in Ratnapura who had affiliations to powerful minister from the area,, the list goes on... and their stupidity will not stop until voters stop being stupid.
