4.increased periventricular echogenicity

5.No intra axial or extra axial hemorrhage or collections.

6.No midline shift or mass efect

7.No obvious structural abnormality is seen

8.impression increased periventricular echogenicity indicating pvlm suggest follow up scan in 4 to 6week

Do not get unduly worried, as nothing conclusive can be said at this stage. This is a typical condition in premature babies and mostly gets resolved later. As the report indicates do the follow up scan after a month to see how the condition is. Sincerely wish all goes well.

PVLM means peri ventricular leuco malacia. It is common in preterm babies. Sometimes it happens when there was fetal distress at birth with hypoxic situations leading to hypoxic ischemic encephelopathy. These babies may get global developmental delay. Epilepsy. But can not totally tell from the report only. Have to consider clinical examination also.
