Just think of yourself.
When you are surrendered to a Govt,
which has a humane procedure to punish you,
if it kills you without a trial,
is it a humane Govt.
Isn't it a crime.
Which officer or a soldier,
even the president can judge you
when you are surrendered.

Geneva Convention
should be more humane now than then.

If I have killed 1000s of innocent people, then I deserve to die :)

I know I have a huge international backing which could save me from any ill-treatment if I just surrender myself

---------

Even if I personally got the chance to shoot the bastard, I would have done it. Don't you Mr Atula?

I think differently.
I don't know about a killer of thousand.
According to the best philosophy I know
there is an incident that
a killer who killed 999 innocents
just to get a finger,
became enlightened
because he met the right leader.

An incompetent leader would have killed him.

If I can punish someone according to the law,
I prefer that to anything
which the beast part of my mind suggests.

The same leaders who kill one terrorist
protect another by providing him with security,
and a deputy leadership in their party.

You stand up for these people and
bring you down to the level of them.

With your level of understanding
you don't deserve it..

We are not living in the period of Buddha mate.
Mahinda is in no way enlightened as Buddha!

People currently are more attached to physicality. They don't want spiritual benefits. Neither they think spiritually.

Also, don't forget that Angulimala was betrayed by his master who ordered him to bring 1000 fingers. But prabha was betrayed by his own self. That's different. If you have been blind by your own self, then even buddha, jesus or allah can't change that mindset.

In politics and terrorism, if you could buy the enemy you buy him/her. If you can't you simply kill!

Not only in Sri Lanka, but see even in Afghanistan.
Now, where are the war crime hearings for those people?

I don't stand up for Mahinda or Sarath. I stand up for what is right.

Right and wrong
is eternal.

Crime is a crime
no matter what happened before
and what happened after that.

A surrendered Terrorist
is not as same as a fighting terrorist.

If you stand up for what is right
you would not act with hatred.

Tell me why Karuna lives against your philosophy,
while another get killed according to that?
You would like to kill him yourself.

:D

Right and wrong is also very subjective. Kissing in public might be wrong in Sri Lanka. But it's not wrong in France!

Crimes are again subjective like that.
Suicide is a crime in many countries. But in some countries you can kill your own self clinically if you have a valid reason.

Killing a human being is 'wrong'. May it be a crime or not.
But sometimes that is the only thing to do in order to protect the general mass or the society.

Yes, I'd like to see Karuna dead. But the selfish self centric political agendas doesn't see what is right and what is wrong. While the person who bombed the dalada maligawa is in the parliament while the person who did many things (or at least something) to end the war is being Court Martialled.

I don't agree with that politics.

A terrorist is a terrorist albeit surrendered or not.

A human being can correct himself,
and he can be a better person
than who never did anything wrong.

A surrendered terrorist
is someone who may correct himself.

I think he should be tested.

Yes, who MAY. Which isn't definite.

And with a terrorist like Prabha, Poddu Amman or even Soosei, chances cannot be taken. You should not test such people if you want to end the war.

Your theory applies to weak leaders
who can't stand against
Prabha, Poddu Amman or even Soosei.

Weak leaders has no guts to face strong leaders.
Terrorists or political.

Hahaha What a joke!

Can't you see the immense international pressure SL facing from other countries even after the death of the bugger?

How would it be if he was alive? I'm sure SL would not be able to cope with that pressure.

Yes, a single entity is always weak compared to multiple powerful entities who work together to achieve something!
