Hydro power is not compared here since we have already exploited all major resource in Sri Lanka! The cost of such unit would be below LKR. 2/- at most.

Since the environmental pollution is pretty major concern for us, we have considered them in a separate category! We have many mechanisms in place to mitigate the issues. We have used globally renowned techniques such as ESP (99.4% efficiency), FGD, etc. We also do continuous emission monitoring of the stack out flue gas to monitor the emissions! We have weather stations and mobile equipment to monitor air quality around the area. We operate all of those! You see the env and social aspects, we take them SERIOUSLY!
