I am excited to announce; today is my Day 01 at Google as a Senior Software Engineer. I will be working with the Google Cloud team in Seattle and eager to learn and grow in this role.
I started my career as a Distributed Systems Engineer and then put my toes into the Data Infrastructure world with my previous role at Spotify. I always wanted to go deep into cloud infrastructure and see how these complicated systems run on a large scale. I couldn't think of a better place to learn and do that anywhere else than Google.
I came to the US in 2014 to pursue my higher studies, and this wouldn't have happened without help from Suresh Marru and Marlon Pierce. Thanks, Suresh and Marlon, for believing in me and giving me the opportunity and guidance.
I couldn't have done this without the support of my better half, Ishara Premadasa especially taking care of our fifteen-month-old toddler Abheeru and let me focus on the Interviews.
I want to thank Aaron Adler for his support throughout the recruiting process and for helping me land here. I am more than excited to start this new chapter in my career and looking forward to all the challenges and opportunities it may bring.
