This is a film so a piece of art hence can be interpreted in the way one wants! But to me 'Politic Works' is not about IMF ! but how people accepted lies and deception over truth and honesty! This is how Politics Work in the world today eg Brexit, WMD, War on Terror, Myanmar, Ukraine......)

IMF is no better than Exim Bank of China(who refused to restructure their loans to SL, but want to recall entire loan amount if SL default one installment!! and had admittedly given funds to political parties)
