Circle is a purely abstract concept. Even though we say tires and things like that are circles, it's just an approximation. No pure circle can exist in physical reality. Science is based on this underlying belief that reality is made of abstract concepts. Specially the mathematical concepts. That's what prof Nalin De Silva is criticizing. But that doesn't imply it has no practical values. </blockquote>
