So any investor can start a project and government will buy his production at a high rate.. Our government is there to help an investor to get huge profit but not to spend peoples tax money carefully. This is a daylight robbery and you are trying to justify it. SL is a sovereign nation, not a colony of Modi or Xi jingping. SL president & ministers should consider the offers they provide with appreciation and suggest to take part in an open bidding process.
(if they don't like open tenders for some reason, I can't understand why we even bother if they don't) At least SL gov should confidentiality ask from other nations like China, Russia, US, French govs, for their gov recommended contractors pricing for the project, then present those to the parliment and select the best one.

It's an attractive proposal. Similar to the Norochcholai project. And it was fucking Jeppos who opposed that project too. but still, the majority of the electricity generation has been taken over by that single plant.
