In SL, there are some profs doing good job even with very small funding and facilities. Unfortunately best of them are offered  10 times or more salary + research funding + benefits from other countries. In our time, several profs went to other countries. Some decide to stay because of family connections,love to serve country and other reasons. At one time, we were afraid that there may not be profs to teach us. The situation was very bad. It is easy to blame SL universities that the ranking is low, but very little try to understand why it happened and try to improve the situation.In fact, here many professors are from Asian countries including SL. They are doing many innovative things, patents, research papers etc. </blockquote>
