Simply neither WB Group (IBRD,IFC, IFC all subsidiaries and now called WB Group) nor IMF is empowered to give Grants to its member countries. IMF is only dealing with Currency Stability in member states not development projects! We requested IMF retained SDR on membership which was a form of profit it had earned and this was given before we declared bankruptcy.. This was again not a grant but entitlement from retained profits .
Bravo future FM!!
This is not the first time this kind of falsehood uttered by our future Ministers , MPs including JVP, UNP, SLPP , NPP etc.
May be financial literacy is low despite having a degree from SJU by future FM who also held COPE Chairmanship !
This shows that Show will go on despite change of guards !
