It is managed through a single repository. The mobile app is used for our Developer, Homeowner, Contractor, Worker, Supplier, and Architect interface to our platform.</p><p>We have many different portals all developed using REACT that function as either summary dashboards, web versions of the mobile application, or a field submission form. These are managed across 3 different repositories with production and UAT versions of each.</p><p>Our backend used to serve data up to our front end applications is PHP based. There is a test and production version of this web server. We keep this on autoscaling and load balancers on AWS so it can scale as needed for end users. For example, our users in Puerto Rico can upload up to 800 images at time using this scaling where we spin on backend servers as necessary. Endpoints for our web server are managed via Postman where we have over 490 documented endpoints/APIs. </p><p>Our backend RDS DB is a MySQL AWS Aurora DB with 7 different environments. This includes 3 environments compatible with our production server (Production, Sandbox, and Demo). Another 3 environments compatible with our test server (UAT, staging, development). Then a 7th environment for common tables called app services used across all the environments for things like skill types, categories, etc. The first six environments have mirrored table structures with 250+ tables each. app services has roughly 30+ tables. Data structures are automatically documented and visualized using Lucidchart.</p><p>All documents and images uploaded to app are stored in AWS S3 buckets. We manage the metadata within the MySQL RDS. We leverage EC2 to make sure our S3 buckets can scale as needed. For authentication and chat, we leverage Google Firebase. Our app USSD App is built in PHP using Laravel. We deliver it using Africastalking gateway, and we have a production and UAT version of this web server. This is used by our workers to find jobs, purchase insurance, and manage timesheet payments. Our security is managed using AWS VPC security groups for all our applications riding off the EC2 suggested implementations from AWS. We leverage Tableau software as our main analytics tool which reads directly into our RDS using VPN secure connections.</p><p>Finally, we use several management tools to ensure code quality, ease of error resolution, and streamlined product management. For this, we leverage BitBucket as our repository manager. CircleCI for automated deployments. Sentry for error logging. Codacy for code quality checks. Jira and Confluence for overall product management, and Slack as our primary day to day communication tool. Finally, we scope out all designs using Adobe XD to build interactive prototypes with diagramed data structures in Lucidchart ERD diagrams.</p></blockquote><p></p>
