උතුරේ ප්‍රථම අංග සම්පුර්ණ බස් පර්යන්තය ජනතා අයිතියට

ජාතික ගමනාගමන කොමිෂන් සභාව මගින් උතුරු පළාතේ ඉදිකළ ප්‍රථම බස් නැවතුම්පොළ වන වව්නියාව බස් නැවතුම්පොළ ඊයේ (16) ප්‍රවාහන හා සිවිල් ගුවන් සේවා අමාත්‍ය නිමල් සිරිපාල ද සිල්වා මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් විවෘත කෙරිණි.

ජාතික ගමනාගමන කොමිෂන් සභාවේ ව්‍යාපෘති වියදමින් රුපියල් මිලියන 195ක් (රු.ලක්ෂ 1950 ක්) වැය කර ඉදිකර ඇති මෙම බස් පර්යන්තය අංගසම්පුර්ණ පහසුකම්වලින් සමන්විත බස් නැවතුම්පොළකි. අන්තර් පළාත් බස්රථ 13ක් ද, පළාත තුළ ධාවනය වන බස්රථ 21ක් ලෙසද මුලු බස්රථ සංඛ්‍යාව 34ක් මෙහි නැවතීමේ පහසුකම් ඇති අතර බස් නැවතුම්පොළේ විශාලත්වය අක්කර 03ක වපසරියකි. මෙම බස් නැවතුම්පොළ තුළින් යාපනය වෙත ගමන්ගන්නා බස්රථ හා ආපසු පැමිණෙන බස්රථ 100ක පමණ මෙහෙයුම් කටයුතු සිදු කළ හැක.

එමෙන්ම ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ බස්රථ මෙහෙයුම් සඳහා මාර්ගස්ථ මගී ප්‍රවාහන අධිකාරීයේ බස්රථ මෙහෙයවීමේ කටයුතු සඳහා කාර්යාල පහසුකම් ද ඇති අතර මගීන් සඳහා පැය 24 පුරාම විවෘතව පවතින ආපනශාලා දෙකක් ද ස්ථාපිත කර ඇත. මගී ජනතාවගේ ආරක්ෂාව සඳහා පැය 24 පුරාම ක්‍රියාත්මක පොලිස් මුරපොළක් ද, සනීපාරක්ෂක කටයුතු ඉටුකර ගැනීම සඳහා සනීපාරක්ෂක සේවාවන් ද මෙම බස් නැවතුම්පොළේ සපුරා ඇත.

විශේෂයෙන් ම මෙම බස් පර්යන්තයේ ආබාධිත පුද්ගලයින් සඳහා ප්‍රවේශයන් මෙන්ම ඔවුන් සඳහා වෙනමම සනීපාරක්ෂක පහසුකම්ද සපුරා ඇත.

මෙතෙක් වව්නියාව නගර මධ්‍යයේ ප්‍රදාන මාර්ගය අසල සුළු ඉඩකඩක් තුළ දුරගමන් සේවා මෙන්ම පළාත් තුළ ධාවනය වන පෞද්ගලික බස්රථ නතර කර මගීන් පටවා ගැනීම සිදු කෙරිණ. එහෙත් එම තත්ත්වය නගර වැසියන්ටත්, පදිකයින්ටත්, ව්‍යාපාරිකයින්ටත් විශාල හිරිහැරයක්ව පැවතුණි. මෙම තත්ත්වය මග හරවාලීමේ අරමුණින් ජාතික ගමනාගමන කොමිෂන් සභාව නගරයෙන් මදක් ඔබ්බට ඉඩකඩ ඇති ස්ථානයක නව බස් නැවතුම්පොළ ඉදිකරීමට පියවර ගැණුනි.

මේ නිසා ම බස්රථ ධාවකයන්ටත් මගී ජනතාවටත් ඉතාමත් සතුටුදායක තත්ත්වයකට පත්වී ඇත.

China to build 100 houses for landslide disaster victims

A housing project funded by the Chinese Government for those rendered displaced by last year's Samasara Hill landslide disaster in Aranayaka was officially launched on Monday (16). The Chinese Government is funding the construction of 100 houses at a cost of Rs.217 million.

The houses at the 'China-Sri Lanka Friendship Village' are being built at Udaviharathenna in Ruwandeniya, Aranayaka. Minister of Disaster Management Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Minister of Power and Renewable Energy Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka YI Xianliang were among those present at the ceremony.

A total of 127 people lost their lives in the landslide disaster. It also completely destroyed 72 houses while 281 were partially destroyed. District Secretary Abeyratne Wanasooriya stated 571 houses needed to be built for those rendered displaced by the landslide and appreciated the assistance extended by the Chinese Government to build 100 of the required houses.

Jan 17, 2017 (LBO) – Sri Lanka’s first seven-star luxury apartment complex, Achilleion, is set to commence construction work this week, its developers said.

Achilleion is undertaken by Blue Mountain Apartments which is part of the Blue Mountain Group.

Located on Station Road, Colombo 04, this apartment complex comprises of two 50-storied skyscrapers, connected by Sri Lanka’s first-ever sky bridge.

Achilleion is conceptualized and built by Sri Lankan real estate firm Blue Mountain and renowned architectural firm the Palmer & Turner Group of Singapore, with interiors designed by Index Design of Singapore.
