Hashan Thilekaratne tells the President Aravinda, Sanath and Thilanga involved in match fixing
UNP Western Provincial Councilor Hashan Thilekaratne has met with President Mahinda Rajapaksa and revealed to him that two former senior cricketers, Aravinda de Silva, and Sanath Jayasuriya and former President of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, parliamentarian Thilanga Sumathipala have been involved in fixing international matches.
Former parliamentarian Ven Uduve Dhammaloka Thero had facilitated the meeting between the President and Hashan.
Hshan’s beautiful wife, Apsari who is possessed by a divine spirit has asked him to strike a friendship with the President once again.
Hashan had immediately met Ven. Dhammaloka Thero at the Asapuva and requested that he be given an appointment to meet the President.
The Thero had called the President at once and had informed him of Hashan’s request. The President had asked Ven. Dhammaloka Thero to ask Hashan to meet him as soon as possible.
Hashan had visited the Temple Trees and the President had warmly welcomed him. The duo had been engaged in a friendly chat for over three hours.
During the discussion, Hashan had revealed many details about the cricketing scene in the country that have not yet been revealed. The President had continuously questioned about the fraud and corruption committed by Sumathipala when Hashan had revealed such details.
Hashan had explained the role played by De Silva, Jayasuriya and Sumathipala in match fixing, the role played by a Pakistani business in the whole matter and the involvement of many well known international cricketers. Hashan had explained all these details to the President by bringing out personal issues he has had to face as a Sri Lankan cricketer.
The President had called the IGP after the revelation and said, “IGP, Hashan malli is with me. Close the file on him.”
The President had then tapped Hashan’s back and had asked him with great affection while holding his hand as to the whereabouts of former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka’s son-in-law Danuna Thilekaratne.
Hashan had said he was unaware of any details about Danuna.
“That is good, it is bad to betray your brothers even if you know about them,” the President had said, adding that he was well aware of Danuna’s whereabouts as one Fonseka’s close confidants had revealed it to him.
The President had said that the person had informed him that Danuna was in the US and that he had met him on several occasions.
Many details about Fonseka had been discussed during the meeting between the President and Hashan.
