COMPATIBILITY HARDWARE DEVICE DRIVERS:

4. Right Click the file and select the Run As Administrator option to install.


Hi. I hope this can still help. My PC runs on Windows 7 and my scanner is CanoScan N 640P ex 1. Enter your BIOS (hit "del" during start-up). Look for Port Settings and change it from ECP to BI-DIRECTIONALLY. Save & Exit. Turn Off PC. 2. While PC is off connect scanner parallel port wire 3. Go to: http://support-au.canon.com.au/contents/AU/EN/0900326001.html Download the software to your Desktop 4. Once downloaded the name of the file is SCCSP382WNEN. Right click on the icon (looks like a tiny microwave) and click Properties then click Compatibility tab then check Run this program in compatibility mode for (Choose Windows 2000) then click Change settings for all users. Again check Run this.. Apply & Save. Run this software and it will extract into a folder with same file name: SCCSP382WNEN. Open the folder and look for DISK1 folder, inside DISK1 folder right click on SET UP (size is 59 KB) and do the same thing: properties then compatibility, still windows 2000. Run Set-Up. After installation re-start computer. 5. Go to Start => All Programs = > CanoCraft CS-P 3.8 (right click on it) same thing: properties => compatibility (still select windows 2000) 6. Program will open and it will calibrate your scanner and will finally scan pictures and documents
Easy right? Windows, after all, still supports program that no longer have driver support for vista and 7
