01....Creative Type Writer Art by Paul Smith

Paul Smith, the man with extraordinary talent was born in Philadelphia on September 21, 1921 with severe cerebral palsy. Not only had Paul beaten the odds of a life with spastic cerebral palsy, a disability that impeded his speech mobility but also taught himself to become a master artist as well as a terrific chess player even after being devoid of a formal education as a child.

'When typing, Paul used his left hand to steady his right one. Since he couldn't press two keys at the same time, he almost always locked the shift key down and made his pictures using the symbols at the top of the number keys. In other words, his pictures were based on these characters .... @ # $ % ^ * ( ) _ .

Across seven decades, Paul created hundreds of pictures. He often gave the originals away. Sometimes, but not always, he kept or received a copy for his own records. As his mastery of the typewriter grew, he developed techniques to create shadings, colors, and textures that made his work resemble pencil or charcoal drawings.'

This great man passed away on June 25, 2007, but left behind a collection of his amazing artwork that will be an inspiration for many. Can you believe that these art below was created using a just the typewrite...?

    Steven Power

Steven Power’s ultra-realistic fantasy landscapes continue to spark growing interest among art collectors worldwide. The artist’s long love affair with nature in general, and the ocean in particular, began as a teenager searching through California, Mexico, and Hawaii for the perfect surfing spot. Expanding his love of the outdoors led to explorations of the mountains, forests and deserts of California, Arizona, and Nevada ‹ landscapes that have earned Power widespread acclaim.
Born in 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, Power was raised in Southern California, and today lives on the island of Oahu with his wife and four children. In 1997, he was commissioned to create the artwork for the 1997 Triple Crown of Surfing official events poster in the state of Oahu, the 1998 Pipemasters official events poster, and the 1999 Pipemasters events. An invitation to create the artwork for these events is a coveted honor among the relatively few artists that really understand the majesty of Hawaii's ocean experience.

Because of his many years in and around the ocean and nature, Steven Power is dedicated to preserving a clean environment and to a responsible approach to environmental issues, and he advocates an emerging new school of "Smart Environmentalism.” His portfolio of private collectors is extensive, and respect for his talent is growing rapidly as he continues to turn heads with each new creation.

"Each new vital experience is an enriching one, and shows up quite naturally in one's work. Especially so in Art, which, almost by definition, is a reflection of the artist's personality."

"The artist plays with his technique and imagination, to create a personal and fun universe, full of hidden treasures."
