Don't think YouTube Premium is a failure. It had 50 million subscribers at the end of 2021. It's mainly for the people who are willing to spend a small amount in order to get rid of the adds. I have seen many many people on social media use it and I personally know couple of people (who live outside of Sri Lanka) use it.

TBH if they came with a geographical pricing plan and made it available in Sri Lanka, like Spotify did, I would consider buying it too. Spotify is the only subscription service I use and it's Rs.529 per month . And since I use YouTube a lot it would be nice too. But if it was the same price as other countries (11 USD I think) then nah. Totally out of my budget. 10 USD is like Rs.3,600 now

I didn't even know Quora had a premium subscription until now Lol. අර මොකක් හරි දැනගන්න ඔනෙ වෙලා Google කරාම එන results වල උඩ හරියෙ Quora result එකක් තිබ්බොත් ඒක click කරල බලනව මිසක් daily use වෙන එකක් නෙමේ.
