He was selected to Uni Pera to do Physical Sc as the first student from Thambutegama Gamini Central in the very first batch  Sc Stream Students from that school. He was caught while a registered student of  pera uni (got it n  basis that Pera is close to NCP than Kelaniya and in any event he would have preferred Pera due to its recognition for Sc !!) and imprisoned for long time and  he got a transfer which was given to all inmates by UGC at that time ?. So he got his degree from Kelaniya I do not know whether he did any exams in Pera but his batch was taken in formally , but  as things were not clear at that time in each faculty as there were closures and exams being postponed.  So now you understand he is certainly not from my home town. But you are correct I have worked in AKD's home town and may have walked passed his home too. So you may call him from my home , as I consider all the places I work as my home while working for them for the period assigned, as they all have funded my 'free education' (and salary too)and  people were very nice to me specially in rural areas!!). I consider it a complement than anything else! I still miss these wonderful  experiences !</p></blockquote><p></p>
