Went there in 2019 while I was passing by that way. Just curious to see what it is. I left the car on the main road and talked to a three wheeler guy. He took us and brought us back for a reasonable amount.
The road is pretty bad at some stages, mostly rocks and some work was in progress to make it better. I saw Altos and vans making their way with caution.
The contact number for Lake office is 066-4935767, Elkaduwa Estate Office is 066-3682459. You can possibly ask from them.
There's an entrance fee - probably Rs 200 per adult.
