I don't know the truth of these stories about Fonseka unless of course he's tried in a court and proved guilty, but I'd like to comment on this part..
Why wouldn't you think U.S is not interested in Sri Lanka?
Don't underestimate the strategic value of Sri Lanka's location in the Indian ocean.. everybody is interested in Sri Lanka, CHINA is interested because it has no real foot hold in South Asia to control India... U.S is interested for the same reason..
Look at Hawaii... why do you think its under U.S? because it has HUGE military strategic value being in the middle of pacific ocean where it bridges the gap between the "backdoors" of Asia and America... So size doesn't matter in this game!
i would be much happy if usa ever aquires sri lanka.. look what happepened in hawaii.. ppl are rich. no war. why cant lanka deal with USA and EUROPE ... instead they deal with ... IRAN/RUSSIA?

Even though you say that Mahinda & Gota make weapon deals. SF says they didn't bought anything except bullets. Do you disagree with SF?
Anyway there are evidence about the Hicop deals. You should read more. I don't want to repeat what have been posted around 100 times.
To be honest about 300 million dollars, I have some doubts too. But, there are far greater evil facts about SF + Ranil + UNP + JPV + Mano + TNA. So, in this situation I go for MR.

mahinda takes our money through taxing us.and he lets someone like the army commanders son in law to make a 100 million dolla weapons deal?
thats insane... why cant mahinda do it himself or ask the precious defence sec who is his brother?
even if dhanuna did the frauds ... it was mahinda's responsibility.... and they should have been exposed much earlier than the presidencial election...
but from what ive heard most weapons deals are done through the defence secratary... obviously.... and most weapons are provided from china/russia/india/pakistan etc...

HiCop haven't been doing larger deals. Larger deals were done by Lanka Logistics. But, SF was taking care of smaller deals(huge with respect to our salaries) and some times broken the larger deals into smaller deals.
BTW, Danuna has law suits against him in both US and SL. He may be finding another country to hide.

I have Yoda as the avatar because I like Star Wars. That doesn't mean I want to live in US. I believe that US is far ahead of US in many ways.
But, we are Sri Lankans not Americans. Don't ever ever expect Americans to treat us like Americans. They will never ever do it. Think what British Empire did to us before 1948. They just want to take what is ours and give it to there people. Make no mistake about that.
But, we are born as Sri Lankans; like it or not. As Sri Lankans we cannot do anything, but to create an identity as Sri Lankan. I personally belive MR has done that better than any other leader in recent times. There are problems, as I said before I accept that.
Sri Lanka became No. 1 spot to travel in 2010 by New York Times. We won the war. There is future for us as Sri Lankans. But, by what SF and gang does, Sri Lanka is getting heart very badly. They are giving greater publicity to pickets all around the world. Why do they do that if they really love SL? It should have kept as an internal matter.
If anyone goes against MR for bad things he does without political plans, I will support those. But, in current politics, there is no one even near MR. UNP + JVP know that. That's why they took SF. Now UNP threw him out like a rod.

unp actually stopped the inflation of the rupee... and made our economy go up..
war's will never end with war's .. unp made peace with lttle.. and they would have sloved the problem by getting international help.. through transpearent moniterings etc..
people in jaffna did like it .. but the ltte wanted war... so the LTTE stopped the tamil people voting to ranil...
if unp should have been in power there wouldnt have been WAR.. there would be lots of intervention from other countries...
tell me how many people died in the peacetalk days of ranil?

but mahinda played a huge solo... didnt listen to usa/europe... and decided to put the tamil ppls lifes at stake
now we lost our biggest export trades... and a lot of INTERNATIONAL AIDS from the west..
all we have is more and more weapons from russia/china
people will get poor... trust me
china or russia dosent want clothes from sri lanka... they allready have cheap labour... we will only make money by selling tea to iran//(j/k)
