The woman sexually abused after being abducted on the 8th - the day of the election - is a 31 year old activist of the DNA.  The mother of two was abducted by the thugs of the ‘Blue Brigade’ and sexually abused her in an abandoned house. She has told police that there were more young girls in the house where she was detained before being sexually abused. She had said there were about 10 girls in the house and all of them had been sexually abused by the members of the ‘Blue Brigade.’ She had also told Beliatta Police that the reason for her abduction and the sexual abuse was that she had allowed an election office of the DNA to be maintained in her house.Despite a complaint (CIB 157/89) has been made at Beliatta Police regarding this incident so far no investigations have been carried out. Beliatta Police has failed to conduct any inquiry regarding another incident earlier when the members of the ‘Blue Brigade’ abducted a girl from a house the ‘Brigade’ maintained one of their offices and abused her sexually. </blockquote>
