The recent tongue twist made by JVP’s Somawansa faction secretary, Tilvin Silva addressing an election rally in support of Fonseka has provoked ire of UNPers including those critical of the JVPs role in handling CT Fonseka.

Tilvin continuing the practice of both Ranil and Fonseka has this time hit the news headlines, following his repetitive pledge to vote for the JVP symbol –‘bell(seenuwa)’- at the presidential election polls.

“This time when you go to vote there will be no ‘elephant’, there is no Muslim congress, there is only one symbol and it’s the bell”, Tilvin Silva has said. He had made repetitions of the statement with total contempt of the other party representatives on stage.

It is learnt that Tilvin was at the receiving end when angry UNPers at the rally had tried to make a ‘slim-shady’ out of the former. Immediately after the rally, a UNP top official has ran towards Tilvin, tangled him and warned of reprisal of any intentions to downplay UNP during the election. Tilvin was seen turning pale as the UNP official also known for his martial-art capabilities continued to scorn the former.

Also a UNP representative seated at the second-row making mock of Tilvin said, that one ‘Kumara’ might have changed the script which Tivin was unaware as he usually parrots his speeches.
