The public must be thankful that Sri Lanka is not like other countries such as Ethiopia that distributes LP gas just once a week, former Minister Bandula Gunawardena said today.
Speaking in Parliament today, the former Minister of Trade said that the entire world is facing an economic crisis, not just Sri Lanka.
Pointing out that this economic crisis is all over the world, he said people have taken to the streets in Pakistan and Nepal as well.
“Sri Lankans must be thankful that unlike other countries like Ethiopia, that distributes gas only once a week, petrol twice a week. This has been the worst economic crisis the world is facing since the 1930’s,” he said.
MP Bandula Gunawardena revealed that the economic crisis in Sri Lanka is due to the greed of politicians, who he blamed for failing to make attempts since 2006 to resolve the deficit in the budgets. (NewsWire)
