Asteroid City is an upcoming American science fiction romantic comedy-drama film written, directed, and co-produced by Wes Anderson, based on a story by Anderson and Roman Coppola. The film follows the transformative events that occur at an annual Junior Stargazer convention in 1955. It features an ensemble cast that has been described as being "larger than most other Anderson films that are ensemble in nature."
Asteroid City will premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in May 2023. It is set to be released by Focus Features in the United States in a limited theatrical release on June 16, 2023, before expanding wide on June 23, 2023.
