The original plan before 2015 was full ownership of porr city except 25 Acres in exchange of creating full port City with Chinese investment.After change of Govt in 2015 port city stopped for more than year. It creates the situation where Sri Lanka had to pay indemnities. What last govt did instead of full ownership they have given 99 years lease including 25 Acres. As it is leaae China the lessee can do whatever in Port City.This govt as they have done in Eastern port terminal created chaos and force opposition to take it to court and now you will see there will be amendments and it will give some control for Sri Lanka.  you can ask why govt did not go to court directly. Govt has to maintain diplomatic relationship as well as bringing investors is foremost responsibilty.</blockquote>
