A businessman in the Talpawila area in Devinuwara survived an attempt on his life last evening. Two individuals had arrived at the house of the businessman, under the guise of purchasing fruits, when one of them had shot at him. However, the businessman was quick to return into his residence when he noticed the shooter pull out his weapon. CCTV footage had helped identify the number plate of the motorbike the two individuals arrived in, which led to their arrest.
