The 113 seat majority held by the Government in Parliament will be taken away soon, former Minister Wimal Weerawansa said.
He said measures will be taken to end the governance of the incumbent Government.
MP Weerawansa further said that the 11 constituent parties of the Government will instead introduce a new national programme to direct the country towards the path to resolving the existing crises.
He pointed out that two MPs were sacked from their ministerial portfolios after presenting the new national programme to the Government.
MP Wimal Weerawans made the observation after presenting the national programme drafted by the 11 constituent parties of the Government, to the Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thero of the Malwatta Chapter today.
The 11 constituent parties are also set to hand over the national programme to the Most Ven. Warakagoda Gnanaratana Thero of the Asgiriya Chapter later today. (NewsWire)
