Well I brought a internal HDD and a bracket separately and fixed them by myself. Cost me around Rs 10500.00. This is 4 months back. But Maxtor one in Unity plaza I guess will be around 15K. (Branded one)

Yes I got a 1tb from unity about a month ago.
It is a seagate and cost me about 15 I think(might be a bit more)from tec information solutions.
As for 500gb I have no idea of the current prices.I got mine about a year ago.It is also seagate. No problems so far.

If you're going to backup the data and stuff then go for the one drive but if it is for the system drive then go with 2 drives and you can have it as RAID 0 and improve performance as well.

Don't go for Samsung's if you are going to use NCQ. Go for WD or Seagate, or if you don't use NCQ/can disable NCQ, then only go for Samsung.
