    The name says it all
    Two Dutch scientists who had attempted to steal genes of a plant endemic to Sri Lanka have been arrested. They had attempted to steal the genes of a plant that belong to the family of "Kidaram”. This plant has qualities of curing hemorrhoids and digestion ailments.

    The two Dutchmen had visited Knuckles and Horton Plains and certain parts of plants have been found in their possession. The Dutch scientists were arrested in an estate at Nuwaraeliya.

    They were produced before Nuwaraeliya Magistrate and was released on Rs. 100,000 bail for each.
