Why can't SLT or Dialog do something like this in Sri-Lanka LOL
They can do it

You need to deploy a FTTH or FTTN (cable) system to get speeds like 200 MBPS

SLT currently uses telephones lines to deliver the internet (ADSL)

ADSL has limits, with a FTTN + telephone lines you can only deliver about 40 MBPS

Cable/fiber is needed to deliver higher speeds

Yah it was a rhetorical question LOL.
But do we have the money to do such cabling?

First thing for SL is to develop ADSL, expand international bandwidth

Then you can move on to FTTN, FTTH

Dialog is expanding the network with a US$ 150 million investment

Dialog expansion is 100% FDI (forign direct investment)

Government should open the country to get more money into the country

Breaking the SLT monopoly (ADSL, land line) is a good move if they can do it
