Two engines are available: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that develops 200 hp and a 3.2-liter V6. With a six-speed manual gearbox, Audi says the TT equipped with the smaller engine can sprint from zero to 62 mph in 6.4 seconds and has a top speed of 150 mph. The base engine in the 2006 TT was a 180-hp 1.8T four-cylinder. The revised TT's 250-hp 3.2-liter V6 allows it to go from zero to 62 in 5.7 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph. Audi says the four-cylinder engine comes with front-wheel drive and the V6 gets the all-wheel-drive quattro system. The TT also gets a new suspension and larger wheels, ranging from 16 to 19 inches. The German automaker says the new TT's body is constructed out of aluminum and steel, with aluminum comprising 69 percent of the superstructure. To improve downforce, the TT is equipped with a tailgate spoiler that extends when the vehicle reaches 75 mph. Standard features include automatic air conditioning and a flat-bottomed steering wheel to make it easier to get in and out of the vehicle. The new TT gets revised audio systems and a Bluetooth interface for mobile phones. Adaptive cornering headlights are an option. The TT will go on sale in the U.S. early next year</p></blockquote><p></p>
