    Where I'm now
Guys I heard that PC-world is selling Acer 17" LCDs for 15500 with 3 months,Japansoft is selling Dell,Mitsubishi,NEC 15" for 10800 and can be paid by 900x12.What will be the pros and cons of this?

We should definitely check the manufactured year and the dead pixels.
Prize is very good as Brand news go at 20000[15"] and 25000[17"]
    ..

Brand new 17" are Rs.20000-22000 (Acer and Philips), but these could be low end models.

I was told by a friend to stay away from Viewsonic. They are expensive and that would make you believe they are good. But they are not. Go with Samsung, Dell or NEC if you can.

He said two of his friends bought new Viewsonic monitors and that both of them had to replace them at least once.

Low end models from each company suck! You need to get a latest model if you can because LCD is still maturing unlike CRT which has exhausted in terms of maturity.

What will be the suitable years for 2nd hand things? After 2004?
Even if you buy a new one, you should try to get a 2006 model.

If you have money, go for a NEC. I have heard that they are superb.
