A group of four LTTE cadres that had terrorized Yala and Buttala areas of Moneragala have been killed, the police Special Task Force says.
Among them were the group leader Ilavendran alias ‘Paramanathan Master (Snr.).’
The others have been identified as Thaiavendran, Vedanayagam and Satyapavan, said the STF.
The encounter had taken place in the jungles of Udumbikulam in Kanjikudichchiaru, Ampara.
The commandos have also seized weapons, dry rations and clothing.
