Finnish border guards have detained four citizens of Sri Lanka who attempted to illegally cross the Russian-Finnish border, ITAR-TASS reported Thursday.
The four were travelling on the Allegro speed train from St. Petersburg to Helsinki. At the border check they produced biometric Malaysian passports which the border guards found suspicious.
Before their unsuccessful border-crossing the Sri-Lankans travelled across Malaysia, Laos, China and crossed Russia’s Siberia by train.
Malaysian passport holders don't need a visa to enter a Schengen zone country.
