Suriyaarachchi further said that 27 LTTE cadres took part in the attack and seven of them escaped unharmed.Suriyaarachchi said that the siege that commenced around 3 AM prevailed around 45 minutes and the LTTE air attack came then. He said that that attack could not be repulsed.He said that the country lost most essential, expensive aircrafts and that could disrupt the future operations.MP Suriyaarachchi recalled how they revealedthat Rs. 800 million fraud was behind the Mig-27 deal.</blockquote>
