Here's wat Lich said about ElaKiri's History in the ElaKiri Zine First issue.!
GTRZ was a friend of mine who often visited my place. One day he came up with this amazing idea about a website and insisted we should start this as soon as possible as we had Chamith (GTRZ’s friend) who was interested to support us financially. Anyway with the courage and enthusiasm of the three of us we started this Amazing website on 8th April 2006. By 10th April we had 50 members and among them were Neon-white , hellbuster and BUA , Snow girl ( she is the first girl who started posting in our Site). In Sinhalese ElaKiri means perfection. Keeping that in mind, we worked as a team to give Sri Lankan music recognition by promoting Sri Lankan talents to the International Arena, giving courage for our Artists to do more music and lead our country’s music industry to perfection day by day. Not only music, we promote things in many different areas such as Magic, Games, Image gallery. Furthermore we hold the Biggest Online Community
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who made our dream a reality. First of all my thanks goes out to all those members who were with us from the start Neon-white , Hellbuster , Snowgirl , BUA , Rapa , and the rest. You guys gave us courage to go on when things got tough and during the times we thought we came to a dead end, thanks u guys..
Also my thank goes to Neonwhite as he is the Top poster in our Website posting 26,659 posts. (Keep up the good work buddy.) Also to Our Greatest Magician Hashan Fernando who is always with us.
Also my heart felt gratitude to All the Artists who backed me up by trusting and giving in their Music and Videos first to our Site, Specially Iraj Weerarathne , Eranga Jayawansa and Nisal Gangodage and the rest of the artists who was with us all through out.
Special Thanks to Dirty X who never hesitated to help me specially standing next to me when ever I needed him and taking me to any place I tell him to when I needed to on behalf of the site.
