This tread is for your cultural knowledge. not to debate on any other racist
    grounds.

It`s a well known fact that the Kandyan Convention was signed by the Kandyan chieftans and the British, what is less well known is that some of the chieftains signed in Tamil. Ehelepola and Ratwatte(Great Grand father of President Chandrika Bandaranayake) signed in TAMIL. Pilimatalawe`s signature contained a mixture of Sinhala and Tamil letters as did the signatures of Dullawe and Millawe Disawas.

Or maybe these great people just faked their signatures.. Sudda doesnt know Sinhala or Tamil letters. this makes the Kandyan Convention 1815 Null and Void !!!

Maybe we can sue england for unlawful occupation ?

    hmm yes machan , unfortunately, in

But i guess, now, in 2011, if there are any Sinhalese law specialists and historians who can investigate this:

    • Authenticate the Sinhalese leaders' signs.. verify from other documents they might have signed.
    • Verify suddhas' signatures to see if these are the correct ones they used in England to sign other documents.
    • If there is any mismatch - give it wide publicity and demand a public apology from britain for unlawful takeover of a country.

I know it sounds a crazy idea.. but atleast we should investigate all possibilities to get at the invaders. :D
