Every person needs an important role and has to believe they contribute something of value to their families, friends and community.   One of the greatest needs we all have is to be of help to others, to contribute our gifts, to make a difference and to give something back for all wehavereceived.  As an example, consider how great a part work plays in our society today.   We’re not talking just money here – we’re talking doing something of value.  The first thing people usually ask each other upon meeting is “What do you do?”  Ask yourself how much your job (or being able to prove mastery of a particular skill) counts in your own sense of worth and self-esteem.  Now you might have the answer for everyone.
